Solano County votes at polling places on Election Day, but ballots can be returned at dozens of sites before then.

Drop-off sites, Oct. 5 to Nov. 3

Most of these drop-off points are inside public buildings, so they follow building hours:

  • Benicia: City Clerk, Benicia Public Library, Pedrotti Ace Hardware
  • Dixon: City Clerk, Dixon Library
  • Fairfield: Registrar of Voters, 675 Texas St., Suite 2600 (weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a 24-hour slot on Union Avenue); City Clerk; Civic Center and Cordelia libraries; Fairfield-Suisun USD office
  • Rio Vista, Suisun City, Vacaville and Vallejo: City clerks and public libraries, plus Nut Tree Airport in Vacaville

Several city clerk offices are closed on certain Fridays, including Oct. 30, so check the county list before you go.

Election Day, Nov. 3

Polling places are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Ballots can also be dropped at curbside locations, including the Solano County Fairgrounds and Cal Poly Maritime Academy in Vallejo, Nelson Community Center in Suisun City, Pat Granucci Aquatic Center in Dixon and the Solano County Office of Education in Fairfield.

Tools: The registrar's site has a polling place lookup, a signature-fix tool for ballots flagged for signature problems, and a text line for requesting a replacement ballot. Ballot tracking is available through Where's My Ballot?
