Caltrans has scheduled nightly full ramp closures at the Highway 92/U.S. 101 interchange in San Mateo from Sunday, Oct. 25, through Friday, Oct. 30, so crews can replace asphalt and install drainage.

The bigger project

The work is part of the $45 million U.S. 101–SR 92 Short-term Improvements Project, co-sponsored by the San Mateo County Transportation Authority and C/CAG, Caltrans said. According to the SMCTA, the project will make room for truck turns on the loop connector, lengthen merge space toward eastbound 92 and add space on the Hillsdale off-ramp. Construction runs from spring 2025 through summer 2028.

All work is weather dependent. Real-time info is on 511.org and Caltrans QuickMap.
