Eric Bauza, the voice actor behind Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and other Looney Tunes characters, has died at 46, Variety reported. He died Sunday at his home, and the Los Angeles County medical examiner listed hypertensive cardiovascular disease as the cause.

His family announced his death in a statement on Instagram.

His career

  • Bauza had more than 400 credits, starting with "The Ripping Friends" in 2001, according to Variety.
  • He won three Children's and Family Emmys and voiced characters in "Coyote vs. Acme."
  • He was in pre-production on "Bye Bye Bunny: A Looney Tunes Musical."
  • The BBC noted he also voiced the Toad General in "The Super Mario Bros. Movie."

Born in Scarborough, Ontario, in 1979, Bauza was of Filipino descent, the BBC reported. "Looney Tunes transcends all languages and all cultures," he said in a 2021 interview with NBC.
