Drake marked his 40th birthday with two New York parties over the weekend, starting Friday with more than 400 guests at Casa Cipriani, TMZ and Vogue reported.

What happened

  • Surprise act: The Backstreet Boys performed, and Drake joined them for "I Want It That Way," Vogue reported.
  • Party favors: Guests were given Chanel and Hermès handbags, according to TMZ.
  • Game show: A game-show-style giveaway paid cash prizes from $10,000 up to $1 million, Vogue reported, citing People.
  • Second night: Drake held another party on Saturday, swapping his black tuxedo for a cheetah-print Chrome Hearts jacket and red leather trousers, per Vogue.

The look

On Friday Drake wore a sparkling black tuxedo jacket with a diamond "D" pin on his bow tie and a one-of-one diamond Rolex Daytona engraved "Freeze the World," a lyric from his song "Make Them Know," Vogue reported.

"Tonight is not about a tour or an album release or a bunch of videos that we shot or a fragrance or a Nike shoe," he told guests, according to Vogue. "Tonight is just about being alive, staying alive."
