Che Fico, the Italian restaurant at 838 Divisadero St. in San Francisco's NoPa neighborhood, reopened on Saturday, Oct. 18, according to SFist and Hoodline. The restaurant had been closed since a fire on June 11 damaged the building.
Who runs it
Che Fico is owned by chef David Nayfeld and Matt Brewer. It first opened in 2018 and became one of the city's most sought-after reservations, known for its pastas and pizzas.
Why it matters for the neighborhood
The June fire took one of Divisadero's anchor restaurants offline for the entire summer. Reopening ahead of the holiday season brings a major dinner draw back to the corridor.
